かばのヒルミー　死について知る 　Hilmy the Hippo Learns about Death

「かばのヒルミー」シリーズの中の一冊です。このシリーズでは、かばのヒルミーが大自然の中、仲間との触れ合いを通してイスラームに関するいろいろなことを学びます。

このお話では、かばのヒルミーの大親友であった青トンボが死んでしまいます。悲しみにくれたヒルミーは、どうして生き物は死んでしまうのか、を考えます。そして、答えを見つけるために旅にでたヒルミーは、最後にイスラームにおいての「死」がどういうものであるのか学びます。

美しいイラストと冒険の話は子供たちの興味をかきたてます。また、このシリーズではさまざまな種類の動物が出てくるので、動物についての興味も引き出します（巻末に登場する動物についての簡単な情報もついています）。

５歳から７歳向け

Has someone you have ever loved died? When Hilmy learns that his best friend, the blue dragonfly, has died, he asks the question, "What happens to us when we die?" Hilmy's search for the answer takes him to the forest where the wise terrapin lives. In this touching tale, Hilmy learns that we belong to God and there comes a tme when we must return to Him.
